Jagdish Temple

Jagdish Temple is among the most well-known temples in Udaipur. It is situated within Udaipur's City Palace complex of Udaipur The temple was constructed according to an Indo-Aryan design of architectural. In 1651, the Jagdish Temple was constructed in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh who was the ruler of Udaipur between 1628 and. It is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan) who is the protector of the Universe. It is regarded as one of the largest temples located in Udaipur. The entrance of this temple is situated in a space of about 150 feet from Bara Pol of the City Palace.
The three-story temple is amazing in its architecture and has beautifully carved pillars decorated ceilings with painted walls, and a dazzling halls. At the time, 1.5 million rupees were poured in to build this structure. The main temple's spire is a height of 79 feet which is sure to dominate the city's skyline in Udaipur. The shhikhar (spire) is adorned with statues of dancers, horses, elephants and musicians creating a stunning spectacle to behold.
